for WE the PEOPLE

...and why not ?

Though my personal views may differ with multiple fabrics, I, at times (and that too intensively !!!), do imagine the 'fantasy' of our "united" country in a 'rewind' glory !!! With my 'limited yet intensive' inputs on the 'non-required partition' in the subcontinent in Asia, one intensive feeling that 'pops up' again and again is that 'individual political ambition and interest' was (and STILL !!!!) much much more then a nationalistic togetherness !!!

Amongst several socio-political documentaries, one (amongst many) from the BBC Archive, I will be uploading a 90 minutes documentary in 6 parts due to the limitation on the Facebook platform and later moved to my blog "My Amphitheatre" (http://filmi-kaa-rafu-chakkar.blogspot.com/).

India is not prepared to bear the communal, financial and population burden which will come along with reunion. Whatever had happened had happened... the need of the hour is to develop understanding for mutual cooperation and better commercial ties. Once we'll become better business partners the "AAM ADMI" will then force the policy makers to stop conspiring against each other and may be the generations 50-70 years ahead will give it a more serious thought and with a better frame of mind.

Very touching. Remember those sacrifices people made. Let me pose this question: what have our leaders sacrificed? No wonder Savarkar remains an un-sung hero.

It is a shame on all Indians to live with this partition. There was a big deception that went on at that time, which very few people in India know. We all are under the false perception that Mahatma Gandhi allowed the partition because of h...is non violence principles, he offered Jinnah to become prime minister and later forced Indian government to pay 55 Crore Rupees to Pakistan etc etc….
I was also of the same opinion while I was in India. Here in US back in 2001, I happened to read a book “Freedom at Midnight”, which is still banned in India. This book records all the minute details of what happened during partition and who played what role? Most of the references are taken from Lord Mountbatten’s diary. Though I had studied freedom fight history in the school, this was something very new and shocking. First I could not digest this shocking and very different perception of this book. I thought, here is one more British writer trying to malign Indian politicians and our country. But then after few days I started cross checking the details from the book with other references. I read number of other books on this topic written by well known Indian and foreign writers.
I am of a firm opinion that Mahatma Gandhi was not at all responsible for the partition. Even if we argue, in those circumstances the partition was inevitable, still it could have been handled way differently and saved 250,000 lives and billions worth of property. But the immature, impatient and greedy leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru and few other leaders led to the massacre and rest is the history. Mahatma Gandhi never agreed for partition and he was deeply pained to see the country being divided.
The deception was, Nehru cleverly played double game. On one side publicly he showed respect for Mahatma Gandhi and on the other side he indirectly fuelled the perception to grow, which showed Mahatma Gandhi as the architect of partition. Unfortunately, Mahatma Gandhi did not live long after the partition to tell the other side of the story. His assassination shifted the focus on the RSS and other Hindu organizations. Nehru and Gandhi family ruled India for a long time and that gave them the time to bury the truth forever.
Back in 2001/2002, I had written an article after completing my analysis. It is a handwritten article in Marathi. I am planning to convert it into a typed copy in Marathi and publish it.
This article will explain my views very clearly and logically.

I don't think my comments were based on partition result, but what the fellow did to save the honor of his family. The barbaric behavior of the other culture is what I was commenting on. After all these years, the old fellow still remembers the sound and he cries just thinking about it. That was an outstanding story.
