सावलीला जाण आली जात माझी कोकिळा
कोकिळेने काय केले ? गीत झाडांना दिले
आणि मातीचे नभाशी एक नाते सांधले
मी सुरांच्या अत्तराने रात्र सारी शिंपली
साधनेवर वेदनेवर रागदारी ओतली
ती म्हणाली, एकटी मी राहिले तर राहिले

धन्यवाद अभिजीत सुंदर गाण्याबद्दल. वीज म्हणाली धरतीला या तात्यासाहेबांच्या (वि वा शिरवाडकर कुसुमाग्रज) नाटकातील पं वसन्तराव देशपांडेनी संगीतबध्द केलेले फैय्याज नी गायलेले गीत.. कुसुमाग्रजांचे स्वत:चे सर्वात आवडते नाटक.... मध्यरात्री गोदावरीकाठी नाशिकला फिरताना जन्माला आले.
