दिल की बात लबों तक लाकर अब तक दुख सहते हैं
हम ने सुना था इस बस्ती में दिल वाले भी रहते हैं
बीत गया सावन का महीना मौसम ने नज़रें बदली
लेकिन इन प्यासी आँखों में अब तक आसू बहते हैं
एक ह्यूम आवारा केहेना कोई बड़ा इल्ज़ाम नही
दुनिया वाले दिल वालों को और बहूत कुछ कहते हैं
जिसकी खतीर शहर भी चोरदा जिसके लिए बदनाम हुए
आज वोही हुंसे बेगाने बेगाने से रहते हैं
वो जो अभी रहगीज़ार से चक-ए-ग़रेबान गुज़रा था
उस आवारा दीवाने को "जालीब जालीब कहते हैं
